WWFS takes part in Air Force Wounded Warrior Virtual Care Fair

May 19, 2021

Wounded Warriors Family Support was invited to share our mission and programs during the Air Force Wounded Warrior Virtual Care Fair. Our Program Manager, Steve Kington, did a wonderful job of explaining our current programs and how our organization assists our caregivers and their families. We are thankful to have been invited and also to learn about the other programs available to our families. Thank you to everyone who attended. If you missed the event online, you can watch the full presentation below.

The Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) is a Congressionally-mandated and Federally-funded organization tasked with taking care of U.S. Air Force wounded, ill, and injured Airmen, Veterans, and their families. We provide personalized restorative care throughout their transformation back to duty, separation, or retirement, staying in contact with them throughout the process as an Airman For Life. The goal is to leave them well-equipped to manage challenges, regardless of injury or illness. You can learn more about the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program on their website, woundedwarrior.af.mil.

Wounded Warriors Family Support is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide support for the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. The charity is run by combat veterans for combat veterans, “healing the wounds that medicine cannot.”
