Sokaogon Chippewa Community Vehicle…

Wounded Warriors Family Support presented a new Ford Explorer to the Sokaogon Chippewa Community of Mole Lake, Wisconsin.

The Sokaogon Chippewa Community is home to over 50 veterans.  The closest Veterans Affairs office is in Iron Mountain, Michigan which is about 65 miles from the reservation.  On trips to the VA they would try to find a vehicle that would carry several veterans in one trip.  The major issue they would commonly run into is space for wheelchairs and other items that would need to be transported.

The Ford Explorer will open up some opportunities for them to their community.  There is room for 6 adults to ride comfortably if needed and plenty of cargo room.   The vehicle is also equipped with the latest safety features to make sure they always make the trip safe and sound.
