FAIRLAWN, Ohio - A former Marine receives a new truck and $1,000 in cash thanks to Montrose Ford and Wounded Warriors Family Support.
Montrose Ford in Fairlawn presented a new Ford F-150 truck to a 28-year-old retired Marine from Cincinnati who lost his left foot as a result of a combat injury in Afghanistan.
The Ford dealership raised $37,000 through fundraisers and customer donations throughout the year and donated those funds to the Wounded Warriors Family Support "Mobility is Freedom" program.
Cpl. Joshua Sust, 28 was given the mobility-equipped 2015 Ford F-150 along with $1,000 in a ceremony at Montrose Ford.
"I'm totally blessed and speechless," says Sust. "This is going to allow me so much more legroom than my car and I can put my wheelchair in the back, it's just going to give me better overall ability in my life." Sust is just learning to walk with his prosthetic leg and wants to go back to school to study biomechanical engineering and one day build prosthetics.Share:
