Who Qualifies?

Wounded Warriors Family Support is a family-oriented organization. Our programs serve the families of U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.

Eligibility Requirements: Wounded Warriors Family Support’s mission is to support the families of our combat wounded service members with dependent children and widows of service members killed in action or as a result of wounds sustained while serving. WWFS is a Purple Heart preferred organization. If the Veteran has not been awarded the Purple Heart the following eligibility requirements apply:

  • An 80%-100% or greater, combined disability rating with a single physical disability rating of 30% or greater for combat-related injuries or wounds in an area such as:
    • Blindness/loss of vision
    • Severe Burns
    • Spinal cord injury/paralysis
    • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Must have dependent children.

Before proceeding further please note, you must upload a copy of your Veteran’s DD214 and Purple Heart, DOD or VA disability breakdown at the end of this application.  Applications cannot be processed without proper documentation. If the Purple Heart is evident on the DD214, you need only upload the DD214.  If awarded after exiting the service, a copy of the Purple Heart must accompany the DD214. Please note the VA disability Breakdown is Not the overall award letter. It will have individual percentages of combat/service connected disabilities.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
